Angie divides her time between Sussex and the South Wales border area. Home based midwifery care is now offered in East Sussex, West Sussex, Brighton & Hove, and parts of Surrey and Kent, as well as the area around Gloucester, Monmouth, Abergavenny, Newport and Bristol.
As part of providing a high quality service for families, Angie often attends hospital appointments with clients. Clients report that this is very valuable in complex situations.
If complex or unusual situations arise it may be appropriate for you to attend a specialist clinic at a hospital at a distance from your home. Angie can advise and support you with this. Some hospitals have a fetal medicine specialist available on site, in other cases you may be advised to attend a regional centre. Angie’s extensive experience in complex maternal and fetal medicine and the continuity of care she provides has been described by clients as “being the calm in our storm” and “making sure that every potential issue was considered and planned for, helping us to feel safe”.
If your baby faces complex issues, it may be advised that they are born at a hospital with a neonatal intensive acre unit (NICU). For those with the most complex and life limiting issues Angie supports families who need to access perinatal hospice care. Whenever possible Angie will accompany you or visit you at these units, even if they are outside her usual area.
